The Opportunity:
Are you ready to take the reins and lead a growing team in the heavy vehicle industry? This is your chance to join Kinetic as a Workshop Supervisor at our High Wycombe depot and play a pivotal role in expanding our WA operations during this exciting period of growth.
Our workshop team ensures our buses stay in top condition through high-quality maintenance and repairs. As Workshop Supervisor, you’ll have a hands-on approach in overseeing day-to-day workshop operations, drive performance improvements, and ensure our fleet meets the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for ensuring efficient fleet management and maintenance for the depot operations, including planning and fleet readiness for the day-to-day utilisation
- Maintenance and upkeep of all heavy commercial vehicles
- Providing support on fleet-related matters across the organisation
- Supervising and developing a small but growing team
- Analysing and improving the workshop’s performance to making sure that things are running smoothly
- Oversee and conduct preventative vehicle maintenance to ensure that vehicles are maintained to an efficient level and available for our operational needs
- Undertake and oversee maintenance and repair work on engines, transmissions, rectify defects / faults in a timely manner
- Maintaining timely service and maintenance records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
The boxes you'll tick:
- Trade qualification, Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Previous mechanical experience in providing maintenance and repair to heavy commercial fleet (bus and truck).
- Medium-rigid license essential, heavy-rigid license preferable.
- Forklift license (preferable).
- Leadership skills to motivate and facilitate work teams in the achievement of results
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to implement solutions decisively.
- High level oral and written communication skills
