The opportunity:

As a Heavy Vehicle Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the safe and effective delivery of driving instruction, specifically focusing on bus operations. Working in collaboration with our partnered Registered Training Organisation (RTO), you will ensure that training plans are meticulously executed within designated time frames and aligned with Kinetic, RTO standards, and legislative requirements.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive driving training to prepare trainees for heavy vehicle license upgrades (from C class to MR/HR, as applicable).
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons, offering instruction on practical driving skills encompassing all facets of driving.
  • Coordinate and conduct professional Driver induction training programs, specifically TLI31222 Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus).
  • Foster driver education and performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Conduct on-road driver assessments to evaluate proficiency and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records pertaining to training and safety protocols.

The boxes you'll tick: 

  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE40116), or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate IV Road Transport (TLI41310) - Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction, or aspiration to acquire.
  • Certificate III in Driving Operations (TLI31216), or eagerness to achieve.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in training and assessing Bus Drivers is preferred.
  • MR Driver's License is essential.
  • Familiarity with Heavy Vehicle and Passenger Transport legislation, or a proactive approach to swiftly acquire this knowledge.
  • Understanding of Safety Legislation, or a strong inclination to rapidly
