The opportunity:

As one of our Senior Planners, you will work closely with our Planning Manager in planning, scheduling and rostering our Public Transport networks, which take our customers where they want to go, when they want to go and are on-time. As part of our Global Technology Transformation, we are moving to Hastus and are looking for someone with strong experience working with this planning tool.

The role liaises with our clients and works cooperatively with our Service Delivery teams to drive positive public transport outcomes and network efficiency. The role is responsible for following our consistent processes in line with the Kinetic Way and helping to drive continuous improvement in our Networks.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking lead in transferring our networks from our current system to Hastus, as we embark on our global technology transformation
  • Scheduling and Rostering our Public Transport networks in Hastus using consistent methodology in line with the Kinetic Way
  • Ensuring network performance issues are identified and rectified on a timely basis
  • Review Network route and timetable design to maximise patronage using data driven methodology
  • Delivery of the Planning Annual Plan
  • Assistance in production of Network Planning and Scheduling tender documentation
  • Keeping up to date with Hastus technology 
  • Contribute in negotiating positive Public Transport outcomes with client stakeholders and Operational teams.

What you'll bring:

  • A strong background and experience in scheduling and rostering software - Hastus
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement methodology such as Six Sigma preferred
  • Experience using dashboard utilisation software such as PowerBI preferred
  • Sound communication, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Sound planning and organisational skills including the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and agile environment
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated enthusiastic approach to day-to-day business operations and positive approach to a continual changing work environment
