Join Kinetic as a Workshop Manager at our Rockhampton workshop and play a key role in our continued success as a leading bus service operator.

Our Fleet Services team plays a crucial role in making this happen by making sure that our vehicles remain in optimum condition through top quality maintenance and repairs.

As a Workshop Manager, you will report to a Regional Workshop Manager located off-site in Mackay. Your role will involve overseeing the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring top-notch maintenance and repair of our 19-bus fleet. You will lead a team of skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, implement preventive maintenance strategies, and contribute to the growth of Kinetic's Rockhampton operations.


You will be involved in

  • Analysing and improving the workshop’s performance; and making sure that things are running smoothly.
  • Managing potential apprentice
  • Overseeing and conduct preventative vehicle maintenance to ensure that vehicles are maintained to an efficient level and available for our operational needs.
  • Overseeing and undertake maintenance and repair work on engines, transmissions, rectify defects / faults in a timely manner.

The boxes you'll tick:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
  • Previous experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy commercial fleet
  • Well versed in operating Asset Maintenance Systems / Computers
  • Leadership skills to motivate and facilitate work teams in the achievement of results
  • Minimum MR license (HR license or above preferred but not essential)
  • Exposure to diagnostics via computer-controlled systems is a bonus
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
