The opportunity

What the position offers:

  • Roster: Full time rotating lifestyle roster (5/4/4/5), 24/7 coverage
  • Leave: 5 weeks of annual leave per annum
  • Salary: above industry expectations
  • Location: Mackay based role (Paget)
  • Training: Full training provided
  • Uniforms: Supplied

You will be involved in:

  • Coordinating -24hr to 72hr bus and driver operational movements
  • Implementing plans developed in advance from known regular scheduled requirements & ad-hoc requests
  • Continually review and provide effective cover in the event of unexpected situations and events
  • Reporting immediately on accidents, incidents and the recovery plan for driving activity
  • Managing the driver compliance requirements in Coach Manager
  • Managing driver fatigue requirements in-line with the NHVR regulations
  • Providing timely support to frontline employees during emergencies and incidents
  • Training others in scheduling activities to ensure continuation of services during leave and R&R
  • Ensuring all operational occurrences or exceptions are recorded appropriately to enable the business to meet its reporting obligations
  • Championing change management
  • Delivering against our contractual KPIs and customer experience targets while contributing to new projects

The boxes you’ll tick:

  • Previous experience in scheduling in operational environments (preferably transport/logistics)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel and Word
  • Ability to solve problems, manage complexity and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relationship building and influencing skills
