About the Role

Kinetic is preparing to launch the first phase of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) across Australia and New Zealand, marking a significant milestone in our people systems transformation.

As we move into this exciting new chapter, we are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Lead to join our HR Systems team. This role will be responsible for supporting business-as-usual operations following the Phase 1 deployment while playing a key role in delivering Phase 2 of our Workday journey, which will introduce additional functionality and capabilities across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the ongoing evolution of Workday within a growing business and work closely with both operational and project teams to drive successful outcomes

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing Kinetic's Workday platform, including the following modules:

Current Workday Modules

  • Core HCM
  • Compensation
  • Benefits
  • Workday Help

Phase 2 Modules

  • Recruitment
  • Advanced Compensation
  • Learning
  • Talent

In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert guidance on Workday functionality, configuration, and best practices.
  • Support Workday security and access management requests.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and requirements, partnering with the Technical Product Owner to evaluate Workday functionality, configuration options, and the feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
  • Manage and resolve complex Workday support escalations
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and implementation of approved business process and configuration changes.
  • Partner closely with the HCM Project team to support the rollout of new Workday functionality and continuous system improvements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of HR processes and user experience across Australia and New Zealand.

What You Will Need

You are passionate about HR technology and enjoy leveraging Workday to solve business challenges and improve employee experiences.

You will bring experience as either:

  • A certified Workday HCM Implementation Consultant, or
  • A Workday Systems Analyst / Administrator supporting Workday in a business-as-usual environment.

In addition, you will have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach with proven experience building strong relationships across teams.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine interest in contributing to the next phase of Kinetic's Workday transformation.
