The opportunity:

Join Australasia's leading bus operator and play a key role in keeping our fleet moving. As a Parts Storeperson, you will be responsible for managing vehicle parts inventory, coordinating purchasing activities, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring our maintenance teams have the parts they need to keep vehicles operating safely and efficiently.

Working closely with depot teams, suppliers, and workshop personnel, you will support the day-to-day operation of the parts function while contributing to fleet reliability and operational performance.

This is a 6-month maximum-term contract, offering a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation, gain valuable industry experience, and make an immediate impact within a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and dispatch vehicle parts.
  • Conduct stocktakes and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Raise purchase orders in line with company procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers and depot teams on parts requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and optimise inventory efficiency.
  • Identify and manage obsolete or excess stock.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and stock movement records.
  • Process warranty claims and coordinate replacement parts.
  • Deliver and collect parts between depots and suppliers as required.
  • Support workshop operations by ensuring parts availability.

The boxes you'll tick: 

  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Parts or automotive industry experience highly regarded.
  • Current driver's licence (MR or higher preferred).
  • Strong computer and administrative skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
