The opportunity:

Kinetic Fleet Services (KFS) is currently on the lookout for Fleet Reliability Leads to become valued members of our national fleet reliability team.

Reporting to our General Manager of Reliability, this role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to legislative requirements, asset design and maintenance standards, and quality, efficiency of the workshops, repairs and effectiveness of maintenance outcomes across the fleet.

This includes reviewing and maintaining procedures, keeping up to date with legislative requirements, ensuring the quality of the repairs and workshop through QA practices, assisting in reviewing and maintaining policies, procedures and standards supporting business compliance requirements and operational needs, and assisting in the commissioning of new vehicles to ensure no defects or deviation from specifications,

What you'll be doing:

  • interpret legislation and practically apply knowledge to meet business and compliance needs.
  • keep abreast of regulatory and legal developments governing regulatory compliance standards and procedures.
  • provide advice, guidance, and insight regarding new/emerging compliance issues to workshop management.
  • lead the implementation of Lean, 5S and RCM principles.
  • identify and communicate need for compliance education programs and oversee the development and implementation of compliance training for team members.
  • develop and manage projects, initiatives and activities which support continuous improvement in safety systems.
  • assist in coordination of responses and information requested by regulatory authorities for auditing purposes.
  • review and audit safety check and maintenance activity for QA.
  • proactively monitor and maintain safe workshop spaces and workplaces.
  • ensure the implementation of People Information Tooling and Technology (PITT) principles across Kinetic Fleet Services personnel with introduction of new fleet and technology.
  • monitor reliability indicators, identify and recommend change for continuous improvement.

The boxes you’ll tick:

  • Bachelor of Business/Safety and Wellbeing or related discipline is preferred, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar compliance role.
  • Workplace Training & Assessment and/or Auditing Qualifications desirable
  • Engineering or Technical Trade Qualifications desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong numerical analytical skills.
