Bus Driver Position - Smithton to Burnie Route

The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Bus Driver to operate our Smithton to Burnie route. This casual position involves a 6.5-hour shift every Saturday, departing from Smithton at 9:30 am and returning at 4:20 pm.

This might be suitable for a semi-retired person looking to stay connected with their community

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate the designated service
  • Assist passengers on and off the vehicle
  • Undertake ticketing
  • Assist in loading and unloading luggage

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Current TAS Medium Rigid (MR) driving license (HR preferred)
  • Tasmanian Public Passenger Vehicle license
  • Working with Vulnerable People authority
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment functional and drug & alcohol clearance
  • Australian work rights
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or prepared to be vaccinated
