About the Role

We have started a multi-year and discipline program of work to uplift our existing core systems across Australia and New Zealand over the next few years (the ‘Our Tools’ program). 

Our Tools will impact the whole business in some way from executive leaders through to our drivers and frontline teams. The program will improve how Kinetic manage finance, procurement, people info, payroll, legal, the maintenance of our buses, service delivery and safety.  

Our Business Analysts are responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and streamline solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

This role will work closely on our Data & AI strategic uplift project - a high profile piece of work at the heart of the Kinetic business.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with project managers, IT and procurement teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Identify and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including artefacts, process flows, and user stories.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and present findings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new business processes and systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Identify and record business benefits and link those to scope, and requirements.
  • Identify risks and issues and/or additional benefits from proposed solutions
  • Develop gap analysis and impact assessments where required
  • Support testing of solutions across the program of work
  • Develop and deliver business process mapping to support project and small initiative implementation (service delivery BAU initiatives)
  • Update and maintain project work items on JIRA and Confluence

What You Will Need

  • Strong understanding of AI concepts, including generative AI, large language models, AI agents, and machine learning.
  • Experience identifying and prioritising AI and data use cases based on business value, feasibility, data readiness and risk.
  • Strong understanding of data requirements, data quality, governance, ownership, privacy and security.
  • Ability to translate complex AI and data concepts into clear business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working with data architects, engineers, developers, cyber security, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience defining reporting and analytics requirements, including KPIs, data sources, dashboards with Power BI
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to develop and deliver business process-mapping to support project and small initiative implementation.
  • Previous experience working in complex multi-vendor environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and an approachable demeanor.
  • Proven ability in improving processes and driving change.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated enthusiastic approach to day-to-day business and positive approach to a continually changing work environment.
