As our Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring all venue payroll is processed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with visa and government regulations, completing weekly reconciliations, and providing timely reports and finance support as needed.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with venue managers to collect and verify payroll data for timely and accurate weekly and out of cycle payroll processing.
  • Maintain and optimize the time and attendance system, providing training and support to venue staff.
  • Assist with payroll-related enquiries, audits, and the preparation of non-regular payments such as bonuses and terminations.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, including data setup, checklist completion, and visa paperwork support.
  • Contribute to payroll system projects and assist with financial and management reporting as required.
  • Provide general finance support to senior management and the finance team.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in payroll processing, preferably within hospitality or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, award interpretation, and time and attendance systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to complete reporting and reconciliation tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to support various stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualification desired but not essential.
