About the role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to join our Advanced Operational Solutions team within Treatment & Resource Recovery. You'll lead the development and delivery of data-driven solutions that optimise operational performance across water and wastewater treatment facilities.
This role combines technical expertise, stakeholder engagement and product delivery, allowing you to work closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, Asset Management and Analytics teams to transform complex operational data into practical business solutions.

What you can expect with this role
- Designing and delivering data products, dashboards and analytics solutions that optimise treatment operations and improve business performance.
- Leading the development and implementation of digital solutions that enhance operational and maintenance outcomes across water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Managing the lifecycle of operational data products, from identifying business opportunities through to deployment and ongoing optimisation.
- Partnering with a wide range of internal stakeholders to understand operational challenges, influence outcomes and deliver practical, value-driven solutions.
- Providing technical expertise in data quality, reporting, process performance investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring engineers and operational teams on digital technologies, data analytics and innovative ways of improving treatment processes.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- A degree in Data Science, Engineering, Management Information Analytics or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering data analytics, digital transformation or operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working as a trusted advisor across multiple business functions.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, products or programs from concept through to delivery.
- Advanced capability with analytics and reporting tools such as PI System, SQL, Power BI and Databricks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, mentor and build strong working relationships.
