Support the meter renewals team in providing safety and quality audit inspections, technical advice, training and support for team members, meter replacement and contractor field workers to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards. This role is approx. 80% field based and 20% office based. This role may require infrequent trips to regional areas in the state.

What you’ll do
· Contribute to optimising the Service Customer Process in accordance with the Water Corporation Accountabilities Framework.
· Investigate customer generated enquiries / complaints and provide information to assist resolution and responses, this can include liaising with customers on site.
· Carry out ad hoc work such as meter/remote logger replacements, property inspections, quality assurance investigations and other projects, as required.
· Undertake major and minor obstructed meter replacements and associated manual tasks.
· Undertake contractor induction and onsite training, as well as attend contractor toolbox meetings.
· Complete asset inspections to determine level of work required for meter replacements.
· Participate in the provision of OSH and Quality Assurance support for the development and implementation of strategies, plans and processes to meet legislative and corporate requirements.
· Carry out property and ad hoc inspections as required and report issues following meter replacements
· Complete field and desktops audits on contractors/internal staff and the work they have completed and provide effective and efficient feedback to relevant stakeholders
· Conduct and record OSH inspections and report any issues back to relevant parties
Key skills and experience:
· Relevant experience and/or demonstrated capability of undertaking field related activities supporting a customer business environment.
· Knowledge of field-based operations as it relates to Metering Services, liaison with customer practices and processes.
· Ability to easily adapt the way you work, as this role involves multiple teams and working either individually or in groups.
· Prior experience with corporate systems such as Maximo, Grange and My World would be advantageous.
· Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast growing team.
· Familiar with the AS3500:1 and Water Services Act
· C Class Driver’s License
