About the role

We have a permanent opportunity joining our Metering Services team based in Balcatta. As a meter reader, you’ll have the freedom of structuring your time around your family and personal commitments. You’ll be outdoors (in all weather conditions - rain, wind, or sun) but that doesn’t faze you, after all, your keeping fit and healthy.

You’ll be conducting meter readings, testing taps and assisting with the maintenance of meters throughout Perth metro. In addition, identifying water issues, reporting meter access issues and non-compliant water services, reviewing meter reports and assisting with customer queries. Your day will include a lot of walking (walking over 10km per day) so you need to be physically fit, comfortable working alone, always putting safety first.

Key skills and experience

If you are living in the Perth area, hold a WA Driving Licence (Class C), have a strong awareness of safety, ability to be able to walk over 10km a day and comfortable working alone. If this sounds like a great job to you, try your hand (and feet) as a meter reader.
