About the role

Plan, organise and undertake the effective and efficient delivery of fleet assets, operations and services to support state-wide capital, operations and maintenance activities for the Corporation.

What the role will involve

  • Deliver timely and accurate fleet support in a high-pressure environment, ensuring rapid response to operational needs and maintaining service continuity – service, repairs, transport, fuel cards, delivery updates, etc.
  • Plan, organise, and undertake the effective and efficient procurement and delivery of fleet assets and services.
  • Manage key internal and external relationships with business stakeholders, industry, and suppliers.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development, implementation and coordination of Fleet Management strategies, standards, and change initiatives to ensure sustainable and continuing Fleet performance, improvement, and best practices.
  • Develop and/or provide Manager Fleet Services and other Business Group Managers monthly and/or ad-hoc fleet management cost, activity, performance, and savings reports.
  • Ensure all fleet operations comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to protect staff and assets.

Key skills and experience

  • Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and have no limitations on the ability to drive.
  • Ability to undertake regional travel (as required)
  • Fleet Management experience.
  • Relevant experience and knowledge in procurement planning, acquisition, disposal, supplier, and contract administration.
  • Technical knowledge and/or awareness
  • Stakeholder/relationship management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer/reporting skills.
  • Time management and multi-tasking.
