About the role:
We currently have a permanent, full-time opportunity within our Procurement Services area. In this important role, you’ll identify, source, plan, develop and manage individual as well as panels of preferred supplier agreements and contracts for the procurement of service and goods to support Operations and Maintenance for the Corporation.

What you can expect with this role
- Identify Contracts, Preferred Supply Agreements and panel requirements for opportunities of improvement.
- Contribute to the development and schedule forward plan of Contract activities, including management of current contracts, renewals, and new requirements.
- Responsible for identifying and recommending business and contract improvement initiatives for managed categories, while consulting with key internal stakeholders to identify new requirements and drive procurement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Initiate and analyse spend and usage activity of preferred supplier agreements and contracts to monitor contract compliance.
- Evaluate the supplier’s performance for the contract duration, agree on resulting data with supplier and stakeholder and record the results for future usage and improvements.
- Ensure the provision of relevant contract information to Procurement Systems for the establishment of supplier catalogues in eProcurement.
- Manage contracts and preferred supplier agreements to ensure ongoing satisfactory performance.
- Take lead role in the Request For Quote process of services under management to maintain continuous supply of services for operations and maintenance.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Substantial procurement experience in a large multi-disciplined engineering or maintenance focussed commercial organisation.
- Considerable experience in purchasing and supplier management strategies, plans, programs, and systems, including the sourcing, planning, and managing contracts and agreements for a range of services.
- Considerable experience and demonstrated knowledge of the commercial management of Procurement.
- Demonstrates well-developed knowledge and understanding of contemporary procurement management theory and practice.
- Demonstrates capability in developing and applying strategic procurement frameworks.
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of and capability in the principles and practices of business communications and stakeholder relationship management.
- Demonstrates good computing skills, is able to use Microsoft suite of systems and can demonstrate the capability to influence the use and optimisation of Procurement related computing applications.
