About the role:

Our Business Unit Coordinator provides critical high-level and confidential support to the Head of Organisational Development and Lead Team. You will bring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while delivering work to a high standard.

You will work closely with the Lead Team to provide support across a broad range of business administration activities, including diary and travel management, event coordination, ministerial correspondence, and the preparation of Executive and Board papers.

What the role will involve:

  • Supporting the Head of Organisational Development and Lead Team in the delivery of services and programs including Leadership Development rebuild project, Strategic Workforce planning, performance and employee engagement.
  • Manage administrative tasks for the team such as invoicing, purchase orders, stationery and diary management.
  • Provide day to day support to the Head of Organisational Development
  • Prepare timelines, sourcing resources, process mapping activities, managing communications and supporting team members.
  • Support and coordinate events and functions.
  • Oversee scheduling, diary management, procurement processes, and the administration of Ministerial, Board and Executive papers.
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate reports on organisational development activities for the team and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage queries and responses in the shared inboxes across all OD services.

Key skills and experience

  • Substantial support and administrative experience in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and high attention to detail.
  • A pro-active mindset with the skill of working well under pressure with conflicting priorities.
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to remain calm and focussed in high pressure situations.
