About the Role

At Water Corporation, that is what we do every single day, and we’re looking for a Senior Civil Operator to join us on this rewarding journey.

Based in Jerramungup, you will work across four towns, supporting water and wastewater services that directly impact the health and wellbeing of local communities.

This is a field-based role where no two days are the same.

From dams and borefields to treatment plants and civil works, you will manage everything “Dam to Tap”, ensuring water quality and reliability.

You will be part of a small, close-knit team who value safety, collaboration, and supporting each other to achieve great outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and coordinate the operational maintenance of water supply, wastewater, and drainage assets.
  • Manage and maintain dams, borefields, and treatment plants across multiple townships.
  • Solve complex problems and ensure compliance with water quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison for contractors, developers, and local shires for major works.
  • Participate in standby/on-call roster as required.
  • Mentor and support other operators, sharing knowledge and assessing competencies.
  • Ensure safety standards and procedures (including LOTO) are followed at all times.

 

Ideally, you will possess

  • Experience as a Civil Operator
  • Certificate IV in Leadership or Management (or working towards/willing to attain).
  • Certificate in National Water Package (NWP)
  • Strong leadership and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A strong safety focus and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
