About the role
This leadership role will see you lead and coordinate the Technology Contract Management team within the Information and Technology Group. You’ll play a key part in driving both business-as-usual and transformational activities, ensuring technology vendor and contract management processes are efficient, compliant, and strategically aligned.
Reporting to the Manager – Technology Sourcing and Contract Management, you will be responsible for the management of technology vendors, contracts, and purchase-to-pay activities in accordance with the Corporation’s policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
This is a unique opportunity to influence technology sourcing outcomes, optimise commercial relationships, and ensure value-for-money delivery across a wide portfolio of IT and operational technology contracts.
What the role will involve
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology contract and vendor management processes, ensuring best practice commercial governance.
- Manage key technology contracts, including managed services, software, and subscription renewals.
- Coordinate vendor relationships across infrastructure, applications, cyber, and data portfolios.
- Ensure compliance with corporate risk and governance frameworks in all contract management activities.
- Prepare and review commercial performance reports, providing insights to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor and report team performance, identifying opportunities for process and capability improvements.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture, through mentoring, coaching and development.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, technology vendors, and consultants.
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing strategies and contract management practices.
Key skills and experience
- To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A degree qualification in business, commercial, procurement, legal or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience in technology contract management or commercial management within IT or operational technology sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, procurement and vendor management, particularly for technology services.
- Proven ability to manage teams, develop capability and deliver performance outcomes.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and leadership skills with a track record of delivering on commitments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-level reports and presentations.
- A collaborative and proactive working style, with a focus on continuous improvement and results delivery.
