About the role:
We are looking for an experienced payroll officer to join our high performing and friendly payroll team. The successful candidate will be providing a pro-active customer focused integrated payroll service to Water Corporation employees. They will be highly organised, able to multi-task, be process driven and possess a level of maturity required to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information. Reporting to the Team Lead - Payroll Services, this role will require you to work from our Leederville office.

What the role will involve:
- Undertake the processing of Payroll/HR records in a timely and accurate manner including base pay, allowances, deductions, Superannuation, Tax, new hires, terminations and employee movements.
- Maintain all personal records in line with regulatory requirements including the creation of Personnel Files
- Provide the first point of contact for the production of HR and Payroll related reports
- Providing accurate and timely advice on Water Corporation employment conditions to all employees and managers
- Resolve complex issues with employees and managers in the interpretation of conditions of employment relating to entitlements and payments
- Coach employees and managers on the use of HR Self Service
- Seek and act on opportunities for pro-active communication with all customers and HR consultants.
Key skills and experience:
- Relevant experience interpreting conditions of employment and relevant awards
- Relevant experience with ERP systems (SAP, HR SuccessFactors is highly desirable)
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Outlook applications
- Demonstrate interpersonal and client service focus skills
- Proven ability to prioritise workload and work in a dynamic corporate environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and support Administration Assistants.
- Demonstrated experience in a payroll position within a medium to large size organisation
