About the role
Join us as a Technical Advisor – Asset Performance (Water Networks Engineer)
Play a pivotal role in shaping WA’s water future by providing expert technical guidance on the performance and risk of our water and wastewater networks.
Bring your experience in planning, design, or operations of water and/or wastewater systems, combined with strong asset management and data analytics skills. You’ll investigate conveyance network performance, deliver engineering insights, and drive smarter decisions that optimise schemes across the state.
Based at our Leederville office, you’ll work within a collaborative team of engineering professionals that engage widely across the organisation. Your ability to craft clear, impactful technical reports and advice will empower stakeholders to understand risks and implement solutions that enhance scheme performance.

What you can expect with this role
- Lead investigations and data analysis to identify root causes of asset and network reliability, risk and performance issues.
- Provide expert input into strategic, planning, and operational solutions to improve scheme performance.
- Support and enhance asset management tools, processes, and decision-making frameworks.
- Coordinate monitoring programs to assess demand, capacity, utilisation, and risk across networks.
- Compile and present clear performance reports to meet compliance and service requirements.
- Drive initiatives to improve asset and network data quality and information management.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Engineering degree or relevant post-secondary qualification with experience in water or wastewater networks.
- Strong background in conveyance network planning, design, and/or operations.
- Expertise in asset management, and desktop and site-based performance investigations.
- Proven ability in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Skilled in data analytics and visualisation for clear, impactful presentations.
- Excellent investigative, analytical, and technical report writing skills.
