About the role
We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer role joining our Commercial & Industrial Services Section in Trade Waste Assessments Team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering Water Corporation’s Commercial and Industrial Services customer compliance activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, standards, and guidelines. Your work will help safeguard the integrity and operation of Water Corporation’s services and assets. This role will be based in our Balcatta office reporting to the Team Leader - Assessments.

What the role will involve
- Work in a team environment to deliver Water Corporation's Trade Wastewater compliance management programs with our business customers.
- Plan, schedule and perform a variety of office and field-based activities related to our customer compliance management programs.
- Evaluate, assess and translate technical information or legislative requirements to our customers and provide a high-quality customer service to Commercial and Industrial customers to ensure Trade Wastewater related compliance requirements are met.
- Provide high quality customer service to our business customers with a focus on achieving compliance outcomes.
- Support the section’s business development initiatives, including drafting and reviewing process documentation.
- You will receive on the job training and support to develop the skills related to Trade Wastewater compliance management.
Your skills and experience
You will hold a tertiary qualification in a science-related discipline or at the engineering associate level, complemented by experience in managing customer compliance within technical or regulatory environments such as environmental protection, pollution control, or waste management. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks to deliver results within set timeframes and meet quality standards, combined with a flexible mindset and capacity to work within a dynamic yet structured, process-driven environment, will be highly valued.
You have proven experience working both in the office and the field, with a current driver’s licence (minimum C Class).
