About the role
We are excited to offer a permanent opportunity joining our Environmental Business Unit in Leederville. The role will lead a variety of improvements that lift the quality and efficiency of environmental systems, processes, and tools – helping to transform environmental culture and risk management. You will work closely with a high performing team of professionals and will have opportunities to grow your leadership experience.
What the role will involve
- Design and implement strategic improvements to enhance the environmental service offering and support to our business
- Enable continuous improvements to the Environmental Management System, to ensure the system, processes, procedures and tools perform in accordance with industry best practice and customer needs
- Drive improvements to risk frameworks to ensure environmental risks are managed, tracked and governed covering the entire water service chain
- Drive improvements to operational support tools to create efficiencies and better user experience
- Build and maintain effective relationships with asset owners, asset managers, asset operators and community managers to improve processes
- Drive improvements to environmental culture and environmental competency across Water Corporation
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and support regarding compliance with processes as required

About you
We’re seeking a qualified environmental professional with a degree in environmental science or engineering and proven experience in environmental management. Your knowledge of state and commonwealth environmental legislation, coupled with experience implementing management systems (environment, quality, asset, and safety), will be key to your success.
Experience in business improvement or change management and associated methodologies is also desired. We value strong stakeholder engagement, and your ability to foster collaborative relationships will help drive positive outcomes. Experience in asset planning and operations, applying environmental impact assessment or risk methodologies along with familiarity with geodatabases, will be highly regarded.
