About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a high performer with a can-do attitude to join the Operations Analytics and Support Group, as a Specialist - Operations Support. This role works as a process expert, and specialist consultant in the Deliver Services process. The role provides analytical insight and strategic thinking to support the Operations Group to deliver its work program safely and effectively, providing value for money to the community. The role supports and mentors operational and support staff to optimise their local processes and practices to achieve efficient and effective delivery of field activities and includes travel to the regions on a regular basis.

What you can expect with this role

  • Lead the processes that support the delivery of field work through uplift, system support and the identification of areas for improvement to ensure a standardised application of processes across the Operations Group.
  • Analyse operational data to establish benchmarks and metrics to measure the effectiveness of work and guide decision making and strategic planning.
  • Identify ‘tactical’ improvement activities that should be rolled out more broadly and provide a case to achieve this.
  • Manage change appropriately by understanding the impact to stakeholders, developing, delivery and assessing change activities.
  • Provide process governance and support for day-to-day operational activities including the rollout of new processes, systems and technologies within the operations team.
  • Collaborate with Local and Central Teams to ensure that insights and strategic intent is incorporated into macro and micro budgeting processes.

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:    

  • Your experience with organisational management, people management and change management with a demonstrated knowledge of business improvement process systems or strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to successfully engage and influence across the business on improvement opportunities and initiatives.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates the values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive, high-performance culture.
