Imagine a plumber fixing a burst pipe in your home—now scale that up to a leaking pipe in the street. Same challenge, bigger impact.
As a Civil Operator, you play a vital role in keeping your community’s water and wastewater systems running smoothly. Working outdoors, you’ll be digging trenches, inspecting pipelines, and repairing essential water and sewer services.
This hands-on role equips you with a diverse skill set that can pave the way for technical, management, or leadership opportunities. Your core mission? Maintaining and upgrading the water supply and sewer networks—identifying and repairing faults in pipes, pump stations, and tank sites.
You’ll also gain insight into the complete water cycle, understanding how infrastructure supports your local community. Plus, you’ll be contributing to the upkeep of WA’s extensive 56,800km pipeline network.

Your full-time roster will consist of a 9-day fortnight, meaning every second week you will have a 3-day weekend (RDO) to enjoy doing the things you love.
