Water is essential to life. Everything we do supports communities across Western Australia.

At Water Corporation, we provide water, wastewater and drainage services that support homes, businesses, farms and communities across one of the largest service areas in the world.

We’re focused on creating long‑term value for the State by finding better ways to operate safely, sustainably and with care.

We’re now looking for a Manager – Advanced Operational Solutions to help turn insight into action and deliver practical improvements that make a real difference for Western Australians, today and into the future.

The role

In this role, you’ll lead a specialist team responsible for developing and embedding advanced operational solutions across our treatment and resource recovery operations.

You’ll set clear priorities, guide delivery from idea through to operational adoption, and ensure effort is focused where it delivers genuine value for our people, our assets and our customers.

This is hands‑on leadership with real accountability balancing innovation with safety, risk and operational realities to deliver outcomes that last.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and prioritising advanced operational solutions that improve performance, safety and reliability
  • Owning delivery from planning through to operational acceptance and benefits realisation
  • Working closely with operational teams, technology partners and leaders across the business
  • Ensuring solutions are embedded, used and delivering value not just designed or piloted
  • Leading with care, integrity and a strong focus on outcomes for the community

About you

You’re a leader who:

  • Has experience turning complex ideas into practical, operational improvements
  • Is comfortable making prioritisation decisions and holding the line on value and readiness
  • Understands the importance of safety, risk and whole‑of‑business thinking
  • Leads people with clarity, trust and accountability

Key Skills & Experience

  • Degree in data science, engineering, information systems, analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Extensive experience leading delivery of data, analytics, or digital products in complex operational environments
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or equivalent, with accountability for backlog prioritisation, delivery decisions, and outcomes
  • Strong background in stakeholder and client relationship management, with the ability to influence and align diverse groups
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver operational data products that support decision-making and business improvement
  • Understanding of treatment and resource recovery value streams (highly regarded)

Why join us

  • Purpose‑driven work that supports communities across Western Australia
  • The opportunity to shape how essential water services are delivered into the future
  • A values‑led organisation focused on safety, sustainability and working as one

Water matters. What you do here will too.

If you are ready to lead a team that transforms data into value and drives operational excellence, start your application today!

Please submit a covering letter and resume that best demonstrates your skills and experience as well as your ability to meet the requirements of the role.
