About role
The Senior Advisor - Occupational Safety and Health plays a critical role in supporting Water Corporation’s metropolitan Operations by providing expert guidance and leadership in health, safety, and environmental practices. This role ensures operational personnel are aligned with corporate HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, fostering a proactive safety culture across water and wastewater services.

What you can expect with this role
- Lead, coach and develop the Team Leaders and other relevant employees to ensure they have the knowledge that meets agreed safety objectives and which delivers best practice results.
- Provide WHS expertise and direction, advice, and support to internal and external stakeholders in relation to safety policies, procedures and practices.
- Promote a positive WHS culture in line with the HSEAA Management System and our values.
- Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships that promote successful delivery of WHS objectives and targets for all relevant stakeholders.
- Coach and support operational staff to manage hazards and incidents to ensure compliance with business, stakeholder and legislative requirements.
- Coach and support operational staff to participate in site safety inspections and audits, to verify compliance with the HSEAA Management System.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Degree level qualification in an WHS or related discipline and considerable and broad ranging WHS experience in a large multi disciplined organisation.
OR
- Relevant post-secondary level qualification (Cert IV or Diploma) and substantial WHS experience in a large multi disciplined organisation.
- Considerable experience and demonstrated capability of leading and providing WHS delivery services, and influencing WHS strategies, plans, programs, systems, and change initiatives.
- Nationally recognised White Card - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.
- A current Western Australian driver’s licence.
