  • Full time, fixed term opportunity from 20th April 2026 to 11th September 2026
  • Salary: $93,249 plus 12% Super & Benefits

About the role:

We are looking for someone to join the Non-Standard Water Services (NSWS) Team as Technical Officer for a 5 month fixed term opportunity.

The NSWS team is responsible for all non-standard services and farmland compliance and billing functions and providing a high level of service and specialist advice to our customers.

No NSWS/Farmlands experience is necessary, as you will receive all the required training and support on the technical knowledge!

What you can expect with this role

  • The opportunity to work in a diverse team with a variety of challenging work activities and providing support to the Non-Standard Water Service program.
  • Manage customer communications during change of ownership processes and handling customer interactions and administrative steps.
  • Provide advice to internal and external customers, regarding the provision of non-standard services.
  • Ensure all customer inquiries and NSWS processes are in accordance with legislation and Water Corporation policy, standards, and guidelines.
  • Participate in initiatives that optimise the internal processes and improve our level of service and customer experience.
  • Undertaking data analysis and cleansing.
  • Support the delivery of NSWS and Farmlands process improvements and governing documentation.
  • Assist with adhoc administrative and reporting requests as required.


Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with: 

  • Demonstrated experience in customer engagement, communication, and administrative processes.
  • Confidence using software systems (CRMs, databases, email platforms).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills to in record keeping and administrative processing to ensure data integrity and billing accuracy.
  • Capability in conducting basic technical investigations (e.g. process issues, system errors, customer inquiries) and follow through with appropriate resolutions.
  • A logical, curious mindset and willingness to investigate root causes with relevant experience participating in process improvements.
  • The ability to analyse, comprehend and interpret complex data.
  • Attention to detail and great written and communication skills.
  • Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while adhering to strict timeframes.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
  • Experience in technical support, compliance or quality assurance is favourable but not necessary.
