About the role:
We have a permanent opportunity for a visionary and commercially astute leader to join our Customer and Community Group as the Head of Commercial Development. Based in Leederville and reporting to the General Manager Customer and Community, this pivotal role will lead high-impact commercial transactions and strategic partnerships that support state development and infrastructure investment.
What the role will involve:
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable plans that deliver value for customers, community, and stakeholders.
- Lead complex commercial projects from due diligence through to execution, ensuring alignment with government policy, risk appetite, and long-term value.
- Drive innovation in commercial development, leveraging industry trends and external funding to unlock new opportunities.
- Build and lead a centre of expertise in commercial governance, negotiation, and strategic customer frameworks.
- Cultivate high-level relationships with government, industry, and internal stakeholders to influence outcomes and shape policy.
Your skills and experience:
You will have proven extensive experience in commercial analysis, strategic negotiations, and infrastructure development within complex stakeholder environments. Your strong understanding and experience with water-related infrastructure and regulatory frameworks will play an important part in this role.
As an excellent communicator, you will have extensive stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior teams, executive, board, and ministerial stakeholders. You’ll provide influential and strategic leadership, both internally and externally. Your collaborative, future-focused mindset with a passion for delivering public value will pave your route to success in this role.
