About the role 

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Data and Analytics team as Manager – Data Platforms. This role leads the strategy, development, and operations of enterprise-wide data platforms that underpin analytics, business intelligence, and data science initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and future-ready platforms that enable digital transformation and data-driven decision making across the Corporation.

What the role will involve 

In this role, you will: 

  • Define and drive the Corporation’s data platform strategy across cloud, on-premise, hybrid, and edge computing models. 
  • Partner with enterprise architects and platform owners to deliver a cohesive, integrated platform vision. 
  • Lead the design, development, and operation of secure data platforms that support analytics, AI/ML, IoT, and real-time applications. 
  • Champion platform automation, self-service capabilities, and continuous improvement through innovation and emerging technologies. 
  • Ensure governance, security, and compliance across data platforms in line with policy, regulation, and risk frameworks. 
  • Build and develop team capability, fostering collaboration, high performance, and customer focus. 
  • Partner with stakeholders, external providers, and regulators to ensure platforms are aligned to business needs and delivered effectively. 

Key skills and experience 

To be successful, you will bring: 

  •  Degree qualification in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 
  • Substantial experience leading enterprise-scale data platform teams and managing end-to-end delivery. 
  • Strong knowledge of operating data and analytics platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, SAP BW/BO, MS SQL, Alation, Aveva PI, etc). 
  • Demonstrated experience in governance, cybersecurity, and compliance within platform management. 
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • A leadership style that fosters collaboration, capability uplift, and results delivery. 

Desirable qualifications include: 

  •  certifications in cloud architecture or data analytics (e.g. AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Solutions Architect).
