About the role:
We have a Fixed Term opportunity for an experienced Advisor to lead the development of Health and Wellbeing improvement programs through conducting research and analysis, risk assessments, consultation, stakeholder engagement, Injury and Incident investigations. Develop and lead the delivery of health and wellbeing training, education and promotional packages.
What the role will involve
- Develop and lead a framework of human factors and ergonomics integration to support Safety in Design, for our people processes and assets.
- Undertake risk assessments on key activities in particular manual tasks and provide potential solutions to the business to address and manage risk.
- Research external health and wellbeing trends in ergonomics and other health related information and analyse internal health data and statistics to lead the development of health and wellbeing improvement strategies for the business.
- Conduct and facilitate incident and musculoskeletal injury investigations and reports and where appropriate use key learning to identify organisation wide improvements.
- Facilitate workshops that drive participative ergonomics and human factors job design outcomes
- Use the analysis of injury data to make recommendations, drive improvement strategies and use key learnings to engage and influence stakeholders in safer outcomes for the organisation.
About you:
- Tertiary level qualification in Occupational Safety and Health or a Health-related discipline.
- Substantial relevant experience (for e.g. ergonomics) in an Occupational Safety and Health discipline.
- Demonstrated advanced capability of understanding relevant OSH Legislation including Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice in particular Hazardous Manual Tasks Code of Practice.
- Demonstrated prior ability in developing and presenting training presentations and/or programs around hazardous manual tasks awareness and risk assessments
- Good conceptual and analytical skills
