About the role
We have a permanent opportunity joining our Operations Services team, you’ll provide high voltage electrical technical support by performing inspection, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution networks and switchboard assets across the state. Based in our Canning Vale office, this role will be reporting to our Team Leader - High Voltage Maintenance.

What the role will involve
- Perform maintenance activities on a range of high voltage (HV) electrical assets and systems
- Lead and manage the overhead aerial distribution planned maintenance activities.
- Support the inspection and testing of factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and site acceptance testing
- Participate with the development of inspection, testing and defect reports
- Rectify faults promptly and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimise customer impact
- Execute programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable operation of the network
- Assist with investigations of HV electrical assets and systems
- Support the diagnose and troubleshooting of faults and issues
Key skills and experience
You’ll have a Cert III in ESI – Distribution Overhead, along with a Cert III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead and cable joining. A current High Risk Work Licence (WP) and HV/LV cable jointing qualifications are essential, as well as a valid WA ‘HR’ Class Driver’s Licence. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HV overhead assets, with considerable experience in testing and commissioning HV overhead systems.
