About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced engineering manager to lead our engineering services function at Water Corporation. This role is accountable for the delivery of effective and efficient engineering services supporting a significant asset investment program and our statewide operations. Based in our Leederville office, this role will be reporting to the General Manager - Assets Planning & Delivery.
You'll play a vital role, leading the engineering on transformational programmes for critical infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects in WA.

You will play a strategic role through the whole asset lifecycle, bringing people together to shape innovative and viable solutions to some of the most complex challenges facing society.
What the role will involve
- Develop and set strategic direction for integrated engineering services to meet the future needs of Water Corporation
- Leading and directing a large multidisciplinary team
- Work closely with our design partners to deliver integrated design solutions
- Bring pioneering innovation, contribute to advances in knowledge and understanding, and provide vision and inspiration to others
- Grow, develop and manage engineering capability within the company
- Actively contribute as a member of Water Corporation’s senior management team to the development and execution of business strategy and business improvement
- Provide overall management and coordination of the engineering function and optimise time, cost and quality performance in achieving required business outcomes
Key skills and experience
You’ll be degree qualified in engineering or a related discipline, preferably chartered with extensive experience and demonstrated achievement in leading engineering services and systems, as well as experience with engineering related change initiatives.
An experienced leader, you’ll have a strong track record in delivering results and committed to developing talent and fostering a positive culture. You will lead teams that are high performing, and customer focused, providing consistent, visible leadership in a collaborative environment, where individuals feel engaged, empowered, and connected to Water Corporation.
You’ll provide influential and esteemed leadership, both internally and externally. This role requires expertise in multi-disciplinary integration and coordination, along with comprehensive knowledge and design experience in water treatment processes. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing project and operational support, with a focus on delivering risk-based, fit-for-purpose solutions. Skilled in stakeholder management, you’ll bring a collaborative mindset and strong communication abilities to foster successful partnerships.
