This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a skilled Welder/Fabrication Tradesperson to join our team at the Kelmscott depot.

Key Accountabilities.
In this role, you'll be setting the standard for safety. Lead with care in making sure safe work practices are part of everything you do.
You'll also play a key part in helping the team adapt to changes that improve how we work together across operations and maintenance.
Delivering great service is central to what we do, so you will be helping us meet customer expectations while staying true to our values.
You will be involved in both fabrication and repairs, using existing design standards or contributing to the Safety in Design process, across all the Treatment and Resource Recovery assets.
You will be responsible for keeping equipment and machinery in good working order, making sure everything meets engineering and legal standards.
If you spot opportunities to improve safety or efficiency, you'll share those with your Team Leader.
And above all, you'll take ownership of your own safety and behaviour, while encouraging your team to do the same.
Key skills and experience:
We are seeking a Fabrication/Welding Trade qualified candidate, ideally possessing experience in:
- Repair of Metal cement lined water pipe and associated equipment within the Water Industry
- Fabrication of structural and pressurised services from design drawings. i.e. Handrailing, pipework and gates.
- Aluminium and Stainless-steel fabrication/welding, including sheet metal work.
- Producing drawings to initiate the Safety in Design process prior to fabricating
- Compliance to welding procedures and submitting test pieces to remain current.
- Repairs to a diverse range of infrastructure assets
Your dedication to Occupational Health and Safety including hazard identification and well-developed communication skills are essential for this position along with the following:
- Current “LR” driver’s licence
- Relevant High-Risk Licenses, Forklift, Dogman & Elevated Work Platform
- Nationally recognised training in Confined Space & Working at Heights
- Minimum of 2 years trade experience
