About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a skilled and motivated Operational Technology - Project Leader to lead and deliver minor works projects that support our operational and asset management objectives.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in technical project management, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.

What the role will involve
As a Project Leader, you will:
- Manage complex Capital Category D projects in line with Water Corporation project management guidelines.
- Define, scope, design, and safely deliver assigned projects within cost, time and expectations.
- Identifying key stakeholders of the project and the appropriate support resources required.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Asset Delivery Representatives to monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in corporate project and asset data systems.
- Ensure safety is prioritised in all project activities.
- Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to foster a collaborative environment.
- Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in execution of capital projects.
- Oversee transient data and databases to support delivery of projects.
- Oversee and deliver procurement activities when required.
- Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in project close-out activities.
Key skills and experience
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering or technical sciences, project management, or a related discipline.
- OR extensive experience in engineering project management, particularly in Operational Technology and water industry infrastructure.
Experience:
- Proven track record in working in a project management environment.
- Proven experience in procurement.
- Familiarity with operational technology asset in the water industry is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Highly collaborative team player.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent lateral thinking and problem-solving skill.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid C-Class Driver’s License.
