About the role
In this role, you will deliver facilities capital works, accommodation projects, refurbishment programs, and strategic facilities initiatives that enhance the performance, functionality, and sustainability of Water Corporation’s office, depot, and operational property portfolio. You will lead projects from concept through to completion, ensuring successful outcomes across safety, scope, budget, schedule, quality, and stakeholder expectations. Drawing on your expertise in facilities planning, accommodation strategy, asset lifecycle management, and capital investment planning, you will provide strategic advice that supports business objectives, optimises asset performance, and enables long-term organisational success.

What the role will involve
- Successfully deliver a portfolio of facilities capital works, accommodation and refurbishment projects, managing competing priorities across metropolitan and regional locations.
- Deliver facilities capital works, accommodation projects, refurbishment programs and workplace improvement initiatives that meet business requirements, stakeholder expectations and agreed project objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of the Facilities Asset Class Strategy, long-term accommodation plans and capital investment programs that optimise portfolio performance and support future business requirements.
- Identify and deliver opportunities to improve facility performance, accommodation utilisation, workplace effectiveness and whole-of-life asset value.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, regions and operational teams to ensure facilities and accommodation solutions align with current and future business requirements.
- Foster effective collaboration and engagement across internal and external stakeholders to enable informed decision-making, timely issue resolution and successful project delivery.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Property, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience in project management and delivery of facilities, accommodation, building refurbishment or infrastructure projects.
- Substantial experience managing multiple concurrent projects through planning, design, procurement and construction phases.
- Substantial experience administering consultant and construction contracts.
- Considerable experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholder expectations.
- Substantial experience managing facilities, accommodation, commercial building, refurbishment or infrastructure projects through concept, planning, design, procurement, construction and handover phases.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and practices.
