Leading the Stores & Logistics function for Perth Region, managing 3 metro stores/warehouses providing statewide distribution to regional partners, while delivering fleet management services for a metropolitan fleet of Heavy & Light commercial vehicles, and plant & equipment. Based in Canning Vale but requiring travel between managed sites.

What you can expect with this role
You will proactively lead a team to ensure the stores and logistics requirements of the Corporation are met, while upholding high safety standards.
Duties will include :
- Leading the processing of stores documentation, stocktakes, and receival of goods; reporting in a timely manner as specified in Material Management Standards, such as receiving goods and checking against order/manifest.
- Leading the delivery of stores services such as packing of daily operational orders, front counter servicing, and statewide distribution logistics to regional sites.
- Providing strong leadership to the team leader and stores people across multiple geographical locations, while balancing resourcing requirements.
- Acting as key stores representative to the business and to regional partners, providing information and advice on stock as required, and guidance on the Water Corporation’s processes.
- Championing Business Improvement/Continuous Improvement related to work practices and procedures within Procurement branch and the wider corporation to optimise stores operations and stock availability.
- Deliver fleet management functions such as servicing, disposals, and repairs for all plant and vehicles within required time or kms.
- Regular liaison with Operations Group Regional Lead Team & Service Delivery Managers
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Relevant degree level qualification in Logistics and Supply Chain management, or a similar discipline with substantial experience in the provision of procurement, logistics, warehousing and/or salvage operations.
- Substantial Experience leading or managing a warehouse operation, preferable multisite, in a large corporation.
- Some experience in Fleet Management, including maintenance, repair, disposal, in a large infrastructure related organisation.
- Demonstrated leadership capability to manage, develop and deploy people to enhance business capability.
- Previous team and resource management across multiple geographic locations.
