About the role

Are you seeking an opportunity to provide your expertise as a Planning Specialist and enjoying a lifestyle change in the scenic Pilbara Region and enjoy the natural parks, ancient rock art and culture Karratha has to offer, here it is! 

You will be required to ensure the optimal performance reliability of assigned asset portfolios across the state.

This role involves developing, implementing, and enhancing comprehensive maintenance plans, including detailed scheduling, functional location management, equipment and spares documentation, and work instructions.

As well as identifying and addressing maintenance needs and plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of asset operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What you can expect with this role

  • Interrogate maintenance performance data, conduct analyses, and critically assess trend reports for both maintenance activities and spend
  • Develop and implement the long-term maintenance plans (1-5years), define baseline (budget, resources, work orders, criticality etc.) and report status against plan aligning the plan for specific asset portfolios or schemes.
  • Provides direction on the implementation, monitoring and review of Asset based Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plans, programs, and budgets according to Corporations standards and processes.
  • Contribute to development of the content and specifications and negotiation of maintenance and support contracts.
  • Plan and coordinate shutdowns with the Maintenance Schedulers
  • Identify and address potential maintenance issues before they become critical, including reviewing the execution of the work and validate any variances to plan
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, heritage, and environmental regulations
  • Manage external stakeholders and clientele

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or post-secondary qualification plus experience
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • SAP or SAP-PM or SAP-ABP transaction experience desirable
  • Knowledge of and/or operational experience in problem solving and issue resolution
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills
  • Valid drivers licence
