About the role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to take on the role of Manager, Business Asset Management & Operations within the Information & Technology Group. This role will lead the strategic direction, management, and delivery of digital platforms and associated products, ensuring that technology strategies, practices, and capabilities provide optimal value to the Corporation. You will play a key role in shaping and strengthening the delivery of Information Technology Services, while supporting innovation, customer outcomes, and organisational growth.

What the role will involve:

  • Define and own the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle of digital platforms, aligning them with strategic business goals.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of platforms through their lifecycle, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with business needs.
  • Champion cloud-native and DevSecOps practices to enhance scalability, resilience, and performance.
  • Oversee processes, standards, and risk management frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead your team in delivering outcomes that drive business performance, while managing budgets, vendor ecosystems, and benefit realisation tracking.
  • Engage with ITG leadership, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to support collaboration, innovation, and improved performance.
  • Provide visible leadership by supporting, developing, and empowering your team to achieve high performance in alignment with Water Corporation’s leadership expectations.

Key skills and experience:

  • A relevant degree qualification (e.g., Business Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science).
  • Considerable experience managing technical delivery teams in an Agile environment, supporting complex portfolios of applications.
  • Strong knowledge of information systems, data platforms, and application lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply DevSecOps principles, improve business processes, and simplify complexity through technology.
  • Financial management and vendor oversight capability, with experience in benefit tracking and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on outcomes and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • A growth mindset, high accountability, and the ability to role model Water Corporation’s values and behaviours.

Desirable qualifications include:

  •  ITIL or IT Service Management certification, SAFe certification, or experience delivering services in a large, geographically dispersed organisation.
