Team Leader - Operations and Assets Investigation to be based at either Perth or Northam

  • Permanent, full time position
  • Exciting Leadership opportunity
  • $155,648 plus Super

An exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals in delivering great operational readiness, emerging risk management and Capital solutions and outcomes for the Mid West and Goldfields and Agricultural Regions.

As the Team Lead – Operations and Asset Investigation you will support the Operations and Assets Integration Manager to manage operational asset risk and facilitate connection of operations to the broader business.

The role home base can be located at Perth or Northam.

About the role

Leading a team of 10+ you will build engagement developing and mentoring while taking personal ownership, putting safety first and making decisions with the whole of the organisation in mind.

You will support the Operations and Assets Integration manager in coordinating activities to deliver financial and organisational performance outcomes and participate in the development of strategic, operational and tactical plans to achieve section objectives and outcomes.

What the role will involve

  • Monitor and assure the capital and operational project deliverables ensuring that projects delivered are fit for purpose
  • Recommend, approve and communicate capital deferral risk mitigation measures and identify methods of funding and implementation
  • Endorse all MWR and GAR major capital business cases
  • Maintain and recommend improvements to the asset deficiency process and register including regional operational team communications and issues escalation
  • Monitor and measure section performance against identified KPIs and make necessary adjustments to deliver expected performance
  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships with a focus on clear expectations on deliverables
  • Monitor the Scheme health tool (SHiV) communicating and escalating as required  
  • Develop and mentor team members
  • Assist the regional teams in WoW and collaboration

Key skills and experience

  • You are a confident leader with experience in the planning, design, asset management, operational Readiness concepts and application and have experience in the end-to-end processes that translate asset strategies into asset investment plans.
  • Experience in asset management and risk process facility, Scheme District and Region.
  • Degree or significant (10+ years) experience with and trade or other technical background
  • Demonstrated ability to build grow and develop teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience in all levels of stake holder management A relevant qualification OR substantial experience in a similar position within a large complex and geographically diverse organisation is required for this role.
