About the role

Following the promotion of several Project Managers into new roles as part of our recent recruitment activity, exciting permanent opportunities have become available within our Project Management team. We are seeking Project Managers to join our metropolitan and regional delivery portfolios. You’ll work with a dedicated multi-discipline team of engineers to create new engineering assets to ensure our operational objectives are on time, budget, and within technical and OSH, environmental and quality standards. These roles will be based in our Leederville office.

What the role will involve

• Delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across regional and metropolitan portfolios
• Managing projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning, and handover
• Developing and managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, resources, and delivery plans to achieve successful project outcomes
• Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, and on time, and within budget
• Monitoring project performance, identifying risks and issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Managing procurement activities, tender evaluations, and contract administration to deliver value-for-money outcomes
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, regulators, utilities, and local government authorities
• Securing statutory, regulatory, and external approvals required for project deliver
• Preparing project reporting, recommendations, and updates for key stakeholders and governance forums
• Ensuring projects meet health, safety, environmental, quality, and compliance requirements
• Driving continuous improvement and contributing to the successful close-out and handover of completed projects
• Supporting a collaborative and high-performing team environment through effective leadership and stakeholder engagement

These roles span both early project development and delivery phases across a diverse program of works. As such, we welcome applications from professionals with either an engineering or construction background who are looking to contribute across the full project lifecycle.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll hold a qualification in engineering, project management, or a related discipline, coupled with experience in project management and the delivery of infrastructure projects. You’ll also have demonstrated experience in project management principles and practices, including planning and scheduling, cost and risk management, contract management, and an understanding of the statutory, regulatory, and industry requirements associated with infrastructure delivery. Your strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to build effective relationships and influence outcomes, while your continuous improvement mindset will support the successful delivery of projects.
