About the role
Are you keen to apply your project management and communications skills to drive water efficiency with businesses, buildings and government agencies? If you are a self-motivated proactive project manager, skilled communicator and team player with an interest in sustainable water use, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
You will be working in a team to deliver the Waterwise Business program which includes working with the States highest water users to create and report on water management plans, driving real water savings.
In addition to project management and communications skills, experience in sustainability or water efficiency, and data driven project design would be an advantage.

What you can expect with this role
- Be responsible for a flagship water efficiency program delivering evidenced water savings
- An opportunity to join a proactive team of water efficiency and community engagement specialists to drive water efficiency outcomes state-wide
- The ability to be involved in all aspects of an annual program cycle including planning, setup, customer engagement strategy, delivery, procurement, progress reporting and evaluation.
- Help increase community knowledge by sharing and celebrating leading water efficiency initiatives across a variety of industries
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Tertiary level qualification in science, engineering, resource management, environmental science, commerce, social sciences, communications or other related disciplines.
- Demonstrated effective collaborative development of data driven solutions and/or communications to improve delivery of customer facing programs.
- Substantial experience in proactively and confidentially engaging with stakeholders and customers including the ability to negotiate and influence behaviours, whilst providing excellent customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and program / project management experience related to the full cycle of program design, delivery, budget tracking, reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to apply analytical thinking, problem solving and sound judgement to project delivery.
- Interest/experience in water efficiency concepts, initiatives, tools and techniques which can be used to reduce scheme water use.
- Aptitude for developing regionally relevant activities based on understanding of customers and stakeholders in regional areas (where regional program work required).
- Competent use of Microsoft suite of programs, including Excel, Word and Power Point as well as proven ability to deliver high quality data driven reporting.
