About the role
As Officer - Sourcing & Contract Management you will support the Technology Contract Management team within the Technology Strategy & Governance unit in achieving business performance through the delivery of a comprehensive range of procurement, financial and business analysis functions.
What the role will involve:
- Process invoice confirmations for payment of all IT service provision contracts in the corporate electronic procurement system (SRM)
- Facilitate the purchase of technology goods and services as required by the business and in accordance with corporate policies, contractual agreements and financial arrangements
- Update and maintain the contract management database
- Process technology contract renewals in accordance with contractual obligations and business engagement
- Support Contract and Vendor Management with in-depth financial analysis as necessary
- Facilitate the purchase of IT goods and services as required by the business and in accordance with corporate policies, contractual agreements and financial arrangements
- Review contract terms and conditions and ascertain if changes in terms necessitate legal review
- Raise, process and review shopping cart requests for technology related goods and services
- Maintain filing and records management of the sections contract filing system
- Complies with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy and ethical standards
- Liaises with Vendors and Contract Managers to establish and maintain contract-related processes
Key skills and experience:
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience in managing software renewals
- Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive tasks, including facilitating urgent responses for renewals, while maintaining a process-driven and continuous improvement mindset
- Relevant experience in providing business and financial services in a commercially focussed organisation
- Relevant experience using a computer based financial and procurement management system
- Relevant experience in financial and business analysis
- Sound knowledge of procurement and invoice processing processes in SAP
- Sound knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira
- Sound knowledge of finance and accounting processes
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills
