About the role
We’re looking for a talented Specialist – Technology Sourcing to join our Technology Sourcing and Contract Management team, within the Technology Strategy and Governance Business Unit. This role will be key in driving strategic sourcing, contract management, and vendor performance for technology programs and projects across Water Corporation.

What the role will involve
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development of sourcing strategies, procurement plans, and bid documentation for IT projects and services.
- Provide expert commercial and contract negotiation support in collaboration with the Legal Services Business Unit.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service delivery, performance monitoring, and compliance with Service Levels and contractual obligations.
- Develop and implement contract management plans, processes, and procedures.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, technology vendors, and consultants to deliver value and support business outcomes.
- Contribute to leadership by mentoring, coaching, and building capability across the team.
Key skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Degree qualification in business, procurement, legal, commercial, or a related discipline, and substantial IT sourcing and vendor management experience.
- Strong background in contract and commercial negotiation, contract management, and procurement within the IT sector.
- Proven experience managing IT vendor performance and delivering sourcing strategies in large, complex organisations.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships.
- High initiative, accountability, and a track record of driving results and meeting deadlines.
