 About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for a Building Services Advisor to provide a technical centre of expertise and support to the team, across Building Notification, Service Connection, Development Applications with building related protection of services, and Regulation processes. This role is based in Leederville and will report to the Team Leader - Pre and Post Applications.

What the role will involve

  • Provide guidance in processing complex service connection/developments and coordinates with stakeholders
  • Lead the assessment of all development applications to serviced lots
  • Respond to customer enquiries relating to Water Corporation policies and technical requirements concerning developments and attends to contentious matters
  • Assist the Team Leaders with the ongoing development of the Building Services team including training of staff
  • Provide information and explanations relating to details and justification of Corporation policy
  • Support the development, implementation and ongoing review of Development Services policies, bylaws, guideline and procedures.

About you

You’ll have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and experience in a similar role, demonstrating a high standard of problem solving and analytical skills. You’ll have considerable experience in a customer service environment with demonstrated knowledge of the processes and regulatory requirements relating to the provision of water related infrastructure to the building and development industry. You also have a broad range of systems knowledge, (Developernet, BuilderNet, MyWorld, Grange, and SAP) and Microsoft suite of systems will be desirable.
