About the role
We have a number of permanent Principal opportunities joining our engineering treatment design team. You’ll undertake, manage and support the efficient design and delivery of ‘fit for purpose’ water and water resource recovery treatment infrastructure, and also support the development of policy and standards for the delivery of water and water resource recovery assets. These roles are based in our Leederville office, and reporting to the Team Leader, Treatment Design.
What the role will involve
- Plan and manage the development and delivery of complex designs and reports for the solution to engineering problems using in-house or external resources
- Manage the preparation of complex tender documents, undertake tender analysis and make recommendations
- Provide advice to and liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies in relation to water and water resource recovery infrastructure
- Represent Water Corporation in consultation and negotiations with government agencies, local authorities, consultants, developers and community groups
- Maintain focus on continuous review and improvement of the design process, incorporation of best practice and innovative technology into designs, and feed into lessons learnt process
- Undertake and coordinate complex investigations, conceptual planning and financial analysis for assessment, development and remedial works of water and water resource recovery infrastructure assets

About you
- Degree level qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline
- Advanced knowledge of design, commissioning and construction of water and water resource recovery infrastructure
- Experience in the preparation and review of complex technical reports and tender specifications for water and water resource recovery infrastructure
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices relating to water and water resource recovery
- Advanced ability to analyse existing and / or proposed infrastructure assets in order to evaluate engineering and economic effectiveness and to present viable recommendations
- Detailed knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with design, approval and development of water and water resource recovery related infrastructure assets
