About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Planner Engineer Drainage joining our Metro Networks team to undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modelling for our drainage assets portfolio. This role will be based in our Leederville office, reporting to the Team Leader Drainage.

What the role will involve
- Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of urban and rural drainage systems for capacity assessment, risk identification and upgrade requirement purposes
- Assess current and future asset/system performance and risk against requirements to inform investment and planning priorities and assessment of optimal investment timing
- Develop and evaluate scheme asset improvement and investment options to achieve required business outcomes
- Develop investment business cases and projects with deliverables that mitigate risk and meet the investment objectives of the drainage asset portfolio
- Scope and specify capital projects and operating work packages to enable service providers to meet our drainage asset portfolio objectives
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders
About you
You’ll be degree qualified in civil engineering, or similar discipline, with experience in conveyance planning for water, wastewater, and/or drainage schemes. You’ll also have demonstrated experience with hydraulic modelling and analysis, report writing, presentation and financial analysis. Your ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
