About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader – Project Support you will lead the support of the delivery of planned and major capital projects that achieve safety and quality standards, meet financial and environmental objectives, and enable the provision of water, wastewater and drainage services.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of key operational projects – you will do this by working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

What you can expect with this role

·     You will lead the delivery of projects including overall planning, scheduling and cashflow forecasting in support of larger planned major capital works that comply with corporate and regulatory requirements and meet service level agreements.

·     You will provide on-site and front-line leadership supporting safety and environmental management systems for contractors and crews undertaking works on planned works.

·     You will monitor and report on progress and performance of support projects, whilst capturing project risks and ensuring mitigation measures are in place

·     You will engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and customers to manage communication of project requirements including plans, site information, and timelines; and ensure project documentation is developed and effectively maintained

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

·     A tertiary level qualification in project management, engineering or relevant discipline OR trade qualification OR Certificate III/IV Water Industry Worker.

·     Substantial experience working for a large infrastructure-based organisation in an operational environment.

·     Considerable experience managing construction and/or maintenance projects including managing contractors in a large infrastructure-based organisation

·     Additionally, you will bring well rounded stakeholder management skills and a proactive transformation mindset that will allow you identify and deliver business improvement initiatives
