About the role
Join us in a pivotal position where you will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of critical asset portfolios across the state. This role is all about driving excellence in maintenance planning—developing, implementing, and continuously improving strategies that keep our infrastructure running safely and efficiently.
You’ll take ownership of comprehensive maintenance plans, detailed scheduling, and functional location management, while ensuring equipment and spares documentation is accurate and work instructions are clear. Your expertise will help us meet regulatory standards and deliver operational excellence.

What you can expect with this role
- Integrate operations and maintenance activities to enable effective work planning and scheduling
- Provide CMMS data to support asset and system investigations across regional portfolios
- Analyse maintenance performance data, assess trends, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to the delivery of Section and Business Unit plans
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards
- Lead with safety, accountability, and a whole-of-organisation mindset
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline and substantial experience in asset operations and maintenance within large infrastructure organisations
OR
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and extensive experience in works planning and maintenance execution in heavy industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of asset investment planning and maintenance planning & scheduling
- Skilled in managing and progressing work activities using initiative and sound judgment
- Desirable:
- Familiarity with CMMS Maintenance Planning Modules (e.g., SAP-PM)
- Project management capability
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel by air to remote asset locations
