As a Mechanical Tradesperson within the Wheatbelt team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and installing mechanical components across water and wastewater assets, helping ensure reliable services for customers and communities throughout the region. This diverse, field-based role offers plenty of variety and opportunities to develop your skills.

What the role will involve

• Perform maintenance and fault-finding on water and wastewater treatment systems, including complex treatment plants.
• Maintain and troubleshoot pumping systems, including submersible, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
• Service and repair diesel generators, engines, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot diesel and electric borefield infrastructure and desalination equipment.
• Inspect, maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including piston and rotary-type equipment.
• Participate in a rotating standby roster, occasional callouts, and travel away from home as required.

About you

• Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Motivated and positive individual who is able to work as a team or independently
• Experience in the water and wastewater industry
• High-risk licences including confined space, working at heights, Forklift, Dogman & Vehicle loading Crane (desirable)
• Trained in self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and Atmospheric monitoring (desirable)
• HR Driver licence (Desirable)
